Anatoly Maltsev is a graduate of our faculty, a photojournalist and press photographer. He began his career as a photo lab technician at the Leningrad newspaper "Smena." He later worked as a photojournalist for the newspapers "Vecherny Leningrad" and "Komsomolskaya Pravda," as well as for the Associated Press (AP) agency.

He is a laureate of prestigious competitions, including World Press Photo, "Golden Pen," and "Interfoto," and a multiple winner of the "Best Photo Correspondent of the Year" contest.

Anatoly Maltsev currently works for the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA).

His core creative principle is documentary imagery. His photographs are concise, yet each one is a rich and precise image that offers an unusual perspective on life's phenomena and delves into the deeper essence of events.

He can always be found where the most interesting and significant events of the day are unfolding.
