The Yu.A. Galperin Photo Faculty has been teaching photography since 1959. All programs are available both in-person and online. Online participants attend lessons live with the opportunity to actively participate in discussions. All lectures and practical sessions are also available in your personal account as recordings the day after the class.

We help you:

What makes our photography courses different?

Anyone can "take photos," even five-year-old children. Our goal is to transform an amateur into a professional, and a professional into a top-class specialist who can do what others cannot.

Our objectives are to:

• Teach Photo Faculty students to look at familiar things from different angles.
• Show how to compose a shot, choose a background, edit photos, and work with sharpness.
• Introduce students to perspective and teach them to skillfully select shooting points.
• Explain how to dress to always be ready for a shoot without standing out or drawing attention.
• Instill the skills of competent photo shooting.

Course participants discover their own unique individual style. It distinguishes a top-class photographer from the mass of ordinary craftsmen offering photography services for weddings, birthdays, and any other events.

What does the Galperin Photo Faculty in St. Petersburg offer?

For sixty-six years, we have been teaching the art of photography, and over these years our Photo School has trained thousands of professional photographers, most of whom have achieved great success in this field and gained worldwide recognition.

We have three professional development programs for professional photographers and one program for beginners.

• Photographer-Photo Editor Course, where you will learn to create your own photo projects and edit photos in graphic editors.
• Stanislav Marchenko's Author Course, focused on finding an individual style and developing artistic thinking skills. The second name of this course is "Documentary Photography."
• "Commercial Photojournalism" Course teaches both the nuances of photo shooting and skills for collaborating with media and commercial organizations.
• "Photography from Scratch" Course, which is suitable even for teenagers and provides all the necessary skills to become a good photographer.

Why is it better to learn photography with us?

The Photo Faculty has been operating since 1959. Over these years, we have developed something that short-lived companies lack:

• It is convenient to attend photography courses without leaving your main job (or studies): from September to May, classes are held 1-2 times a week, lasting 2 hours – from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
• Applications are accepted after review by the dean.
